The GenVote National Just Democracy for All (JDA) Organizing Fellows program is a paid opportunity for 10 working-class fellows, ages 16-30, to develop as leaders in the GenVote network with 1-1 coaching, training to spark new GenVote Teams and Hubs, and inspire hundreds of young people to fight for our right to vote and a just democracy for all.

In 2023, the GenVote National team built on the success of our national 2021 Youth Voting Rights listening tour and embarked on our first in-person, “Just Democracy for All” tour to spark the conversation with local allies and young people around a central question: “What does a truly just democracy for all look like in our communities in 2024, and beyond?”

GENVOTE ASCENDERS
We launched GenVote Rising - the first national youth-led campaign to mobilize thousands of young people to protect our freedom to vote as election protection volunteers and get out the youth vote in critical secretary of state races across the country.

NATIONAL YOUTH-LED ELECTION PROTECTION PROGRAM
As a part of a nationwide effort to protect the right to vote, we launched the first nation wide youth-focused non-partisan election protection program focusing on poll monitoring, digital (social media) monitoring, and more. In coordination with our partners at Common Cause and Election Protection (866 Our Vote), we offered a unique, youth-focused election protection training to GenVoters and movement volunteers, and will coordinate youth organizers’ shifts, as well as provide both digital and on the ground support.

HOLDING INSURRECTIONISTS ACCOUNTABLE AND PROTECTING FUTURE ELECTIONS
We will spotlight politicians who supported the January 6th insurrection and make it clear that it is morally unacceptable to distort or disregard the results of future elections. We will show up in their offices, fancy fundraisers and town halls. And if they don’t commit to listening to the will of the people, we will expose their lies so that their voters–and the world–know who they really are: enemies of our democracy.
